Magic Mantra Wakes Up Person In A Coma?

Genie In A BottleA minister emailed me to say that when he used the words, “Talitha cumi” (“Little girl, I say to you, arise”) like Jesus did – and then declared that it should happen TODAY – the person who was in a coma woke up later that night.

My response: It wasn’t due to a magic mantra that the person woke up.

It was due to the providence of God and the decision on God’s part to wake the person up.

We are NOT moving God to do things with our words.

He is not a genie in a bottle.

(Would the story have been told me if the person had not woken up?)
