How You Can Enter the Promised Land God Has Planned for Your Life

Moses Sees the Promised Land from Afar“‘At that time I pleaded with the Lord: …Let me go over and see the good land beyond the Jordan.’ But because of you the Lord was angry with me and would not listen to me. ‘That is enough,’ the Lord said. ‘Do not speak to me anymore about this matter.'” (Deuteronomy 3:23, 25a, 26; NIV)

SPEAK TO THE ROCK

We all know the story of Moses and how, out of anger, he struck the wilderness rock twice when God told him to speak to the rock and it would bring forth water. (Numbers 20:1-13)

It was because of this disobedience on Moses’ part that he was not allowed to enter into the Promised Land.

Even his further pleas as regards this would come to no avail before the Lord.

DISOBEDIENCE WILL COST US

It goes without saying that disobedience on our part will cost us in blessings.

It’s the message of this incident with Moses.

It may not cost us Heaven, but it’ll cost us.

Make no mistake about it.

God just may have to keep us from “the Promised Land” He had in mind for our lives.

Maybe it’s in the area of finances or relationships that we pay the price.

Maybe it’s in the area of inner peace or spiritual victory or something else similar that we pay the price.

The bottom line again is disobedience – it’ll cost us.

With this in mind, we must determine all the more not to disobey the Lord no matter what.

And when we do obey Him, we can expect to cross over into the blessings which He’s purposed to be ours.
