I Am Who I Am

Moses and the Burning Bush“And God said to Moses, ‘I AM WHO I AM’; and He said, ‘Thus you shall say to the sons of Israel, “I AM has sent me to you.”‘” (Exodus 3:14)

I WILL BE WHO YOU NEED ME TO BE

“I AM WHO I AM.”

In other words, “I will be who you need Me to be.”

This is one interpretation of what the Lord was declaring about Himself to Moses that day on Mt. Sinai so long ago.

And what better way to describe the all-sufficient God?

In Him and in Him alone do human beings find all their needs met.

In God and in God alone.

GOD SAID TO MOSES

“I will be who you need Me to be,” God said to Moses.

“If you need me to be a deliverer, I will deliver.”

And so the Israelites walked through the Red Sea on dry ground while their Egyptian pursuers drowned.

“If you need Me to be a provider, I will provide.”

And so the Israelites received manna from heaven in the wilderness and water from a rock.

“If you need me to be a guide, I will show you the way.”

And so the Israelites were led on their journey via a cloud by day and a fire by night.

“I will be who you need Me to be,” God said to Moses.

LOOK TO THE ALL-SUFFICIENT LORD

Do you have a need today, my friend?

Maybe it’s deliverance you need or provision or guidance or something else.

No matter what it might be, the counsel is the same.

Look to the all-sufficient Lord and He’ll meet your need.

As sure as He did for Moses and the Israelites, so He will do for you, too.

“And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 4:19)
