10 Mistakes People Make with Evil (plus 1 bonus)

Gustave Doré, Depiction of Satan, the central figure in John Milton's Paradise Lost c.1866Lightning fast read meant to make you think…

10 Mistakes People Make with Evil (plus 1 bonus):

1. Shrink back from confronting it. (Esther 4:14)
2. Overlook that all religions apart from Christianity are evil (lead people to hell and away from God). (Galatians 1:8)
3. Are ignorant of the fact that every single human being that has ever lived (and will live) has an evil heart (no one is immune). (Jeremiah 17:9; Romans 3:10)
4. Forget that it was our first parents that were responsible for the introduction of evil into the world. (Genesis 3:1-7)
5. Forget that Satan was cast out of heaven to earth and he brought evil with him (evil is everything that is opposed to God). (Luke 10:18)
6. Overlook that the very presence of evil is evidence of the existence of God (there is no such thing as a “bad” unless there is a “good”; how does one recognize “bad” apart from “good”?). (Genesis 2:9; Luke 6:45)
7. Don’t realize that evil is allowed so that people will have a choice (will you live for God or will you live for the devil?). (Romans 2:5-11)
8. Respond to “evil” with evil (evil is only defeated by good). (Romans 12:20-21)
9. Don’t realize that there is only one way of deliverance from evil thoughts, words and deeds (through the blood of Jesus Christ). (John 3:16; Romans 10:9; 1 John 1:9)
10. Speak of good as evil and evil as good (e.g. fornication is okay; Islam is peace). (Isaiah 5:20)

BONUS Are ignorant to the fact that evil will have one “last hurrah” before the return of Jesus Christ. (Revelation 12:12; 13:1-18)
