10 Mistakes People Make with the End of the World (plus 1 bonus)

The Great Day of God's WrathLightning fast read meant to make you think…

10 Mistakes People Make with the End of the World (plus 1 bonus):

1. Think it’s a long way off so they put off getting right with God/Jesus. (Luke 12:16-21)
2. Mock the end of the world’s potential. (2 Peter 3:3-4; Jude 1:18)
3. Don’t understand that Noah’s story is a case study of how it will happen. (Matthew 24:37-39; 2 Peter 3:5-7)
4. Overlook that the story of Sodom and Gomorrah (Lot’s story) is also a case study of how the end of the world will happen. (Genesis 19:1-29; Luke 17:28-30)
5. Live their life as if the end of the world will never take place. (Luke 17:27-28)
6. Don’t realize that though some suggest the Jewish people (Israel) existing again in their homeland is evidence the end of the world is about to take place (imminent: “likely to occur at any moment”), it is an incorrect reading of the Jesus’ teaching on the fig tree. (Matthew 24:32-33)
7. Are ignorant of the fact that a lawless leader will arise in the church directly prior to the end of the world that human beings will follow, give their allegiance to and ultimately worship as God. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-4)
8. Forget that persecution of the Church/Christians will intensify prior to the end of the world since Satan knows his time is short. (Matthew 24:9; Revelation 12:12)
9. Overlook that many who say they are Christians will fall away from the faith as the end of the world approaches. (Matthew 24:10; 2 Thessalonians 2:9-12)
10. Are afraid of the end of the world when they don’t have to be (if you believe in Jesus Christ crucified for the forgiveness of sins you will be saved from the wrath to come). (Luke 21:26; 1 Thessalonians 5:9; Romans 10:9-10)

BONUS Are oblivious to the fact that the supreme purpose of the end of the world is to turn the page on a wicked and evil generation and introduce a new heaven and a new earth where believers in Jesus Christ dwell with God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – forever and ever. (Revelation 21:1-3)
