1. Think there is no such thing as sin (let alone secret sins). (1 John 1:8)
2. Think their sins ARE secret (you are in public what you are in private).
3. Think nobody knows (Jesus knows). (Hebrews 4:13)
4. Think nobody will get hurt (above all you’re ruining yourself).
5. Dismiss that they lead to greater sins. (2 Samuel 11:1-5, 26-27)
6. Don’t realize harsh/condemning treatment of others can be a tell tale sign. (John 8:1-8)
7. Become consumed with pornography (dehumanizes women and destroys marriages).
8. Think only unbelievers can have a pornography problem (many Christians do, too).
9. Don’t realize they’re at the root of legalism (it’s okay if I do this sin since I did this good thing over here to compensate). (Matthew 23:13-33)
10. Forget they are ultimately exposed (e.g. Judas).
