Still Singing Together

“Train up a child in the way [she] should go, Even when [she] is old [she] will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6)

We used to drive in my car (my blue-eyed, 2-year old daughter and I). We used to drive in my car singing together (Twila Paris songs). “God is in Control” and “Watch and Pray” and “Seventy Years Ago” ~ they were her favorites (and mine).

And all these years later (she’s 20 now), she’s a warrior for Christ and country (just like her name says), serving the Lord and tweeting Bible verses and songs and God’s love on her twitter site (just like her dad).

We’re still singing together. #Jesus #tears

  1. When we honor God with our children (or anything else), what we do will not return to us void. I pray your daughter will bless many throughout her life, as I can so obviously tell she’s blessed you.

  2. It’s true, they won’t depart.

I remember my dad used to take me to church with him years ago. Not to say that I was a Christian all of my life, but I am one now.

    I didn’t depart.
